Chris S November 2011 Thanks so much for getting back in touch. I have been meaning to email you and let you know that he loves them. He's now able to tie his shoes with one hand. He has to have his shoes on along with a brace when he's walking so he couldn't get up in the mornings until someone had helped him tie his shoe laces. Now he has the freedom to get up and start his day on his own. It seems like such a little thing that we all take for granted daily but it really does give him a lot of confidence knowing he can tie his own laces. Thank you so much for sending the extra bits too, that was very kind of you. And thank you for creating a great product. I asked him how he found it and he said he came across it while searching for tips to tie his laces with one hand.
Lori B June 7 2011: My six year old son, Kyle, was so excited with his lizard Loopeez. After practicing for about twenty minutes he mastered the Loopeez! He had to show his dad the minute he got home from work. My husband and I have both tried to teach him how to tie his shoes but had no luck. We gave up and bought Velcro gym shoes. Since he learned how to use the Loopeez he has worn his tie shoes every day!
Jamie F, MS OTR/L : "I work in a high school with many students who have had trouble learning to tie their shoes, Loopeez, has been so helpful in promoting the practice of the more difficult steps allowing the students to focus and learn the basics."
Ellen Jacob: "My 5 year old son can tie his shoes, thanks to the bunny song, but Loopeez helps keep them tied for a longer period of time. He was so excited to tell me that he was able to tie his shoe at school all by him self. He usually needs some one to walk him through parts. I am a happy customer!"
Elaine, Sophie & Vince too, Narberth, PA: I saw Kelly in Narberth for Loopeez like you suggested. Sophie did it the first try....utterly amazing. For a kid with some serious fine motor issues....we were in awe. Thanks so much for developing this product.
Elaine R, PA: My five year old was diagnosed with a Fine Motor Delay when she was three. Small motor control has always been difficult for her. This summer, she got her first pair of "tie" shoes. When she went off to camp, she was upset that her shoes always came untied and counselors made HUGE double knots that were also hard for her to get off later. So I began to try and teach her to tie her shoes. We used the "bunny" poem but it was just not clicking for her. I found the Loopeez product website and loved the idea. I showed the video to my daughter and she picked the pink butterfly design. I showed her how to use them, and literally on the first try, she tied her own shoes. The next day, the counselors at camp were floored. I honestly would not have believed it only took her one day to learn to tie her shoes! Later, this the school year, her teacher and Occupational Therapist remarked about how impressive her shoe tying skills were! So I deeply thank Loopeez! She is a more confident child and one of the first of her peers to be able to tie (and untie) shoes! The best product I have ever purchased!
Jen Scaffidi: "He LOVES them!!! We were at a picnic all day. When we got back, he started practicing with the Loopeez and he is doing great! He will be starting school much more confident because he won't be worrying about his shoes being untied. Thanks so much! I'm sure after his friends see them they will want them too! I'll be in touch. Thanks so much again!"
Katie Murtaugh: "My son was so excited to get his first pair of sneakers with laces, no more slip-ons"
Dov Sikowitz, Los Angeles, CA Age 7: "It was hard to tie my shoes with the bunny-ears method. I kept losing the little end of my laces. Then my Mom got me Loopeez and we watched the video and now I can do it all by myself."
