Teaching my daughter how to tie her shoes wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. In fact, it was just the opposite. No matter what I did or how I showed her, she just couldn't do it. She tried her best but with her little hands it was next to impossible. It was frustrating for both of us and I felt helpless. I had given up, she'd wear slip on sneakers for the rest of her life.

When I would visit with her school, I noticed that most of the kids in her class had shoes without laces also. Some kids were walking around with their laces untied. Frayed, dirty laces everywhere I looked. I asked the kids if they needed help tying their shoes and they all said yes. I couldn't believe it. The kids tried to do it themselves they just couldn't coordinate the "bunny ears" with their teeny hands. I realized this was a major problem not only for my daughter, but for tons of other kids as well. Enough was enough, as a mother I knew I had to do something to solve this big shoe tying problem. If I could just figure out a way to get those loops to hold in place......and that's how Loopeez began.
